Dixie DIY(2020)
Modern girl sews history
Overview
Documenting the making of my historical costumes. New videos monthly! I'm Dixie (yes, that's my real name) and I've been sewing clothes for over half my life and costumes for almost a decade. On this channel, I share my costuming journey - learning new techniques, challenging my skills, and chatting about life lessons learned at the point of a sewing needle. I focus mainly on Western European fashion from the 18th century onwards with some dabbling in medieval costumes and cosplay. My videos are casual accounts of my experiences, not necessarily tutorials but you may learn something new if you follow along. If you are a fellow costumer, looking to get into the hobby, or just like watching other people make stuff, welcome! [ History has often been filled with tragedy and injustice, historical costuming doesn't have to be. This is a BIPOC/LGBTQ+/plus-size/disability/et al-friendly channel. ]

2009Junk Raiders is a 2009 Canadian reality television series that airs on The Discovery Channel and ION Life. The series follows the titular Junk Raiders, a team of seven professionals as they attempt to renovate an old steel factory in downtown Toronto and turn it into a high-end loft in one month with only a C$5500 budget. Because of the extremely limited budget, many of the materials needed must be found by freecycling: finding something unwanted for free and reusing it. For the production of the series, the team had commissioned a "junk hot-line", urging Torontonians to donate any garbage that they could use. In addition, as looking through other peoples' trash is illegal in Toronto, the show also has a special exemption that allows the team to do just that.

In addition to Brad and Barry, the team included members Steve Harris, Hector Cisneros, and Katie Burr. Other members included Jason Worden, Ashlee Lehman, and Steve Hock. Ghost Lab remains the name of EP's mobile command center. On October 14, 2009, Brad and Barry Klinge were interviewed on The Pat & Brian Show about the origins of Everyday Paranormal, current investigations, and equipment use.
