Building Wild(2014)
Overview
National Geographic Channel goes off the map to kick off its first do-it-yourself series, Building Wild. Paulie, as he is known, has partnered with woodsman and master fabricator Pat "Tuffy" Bakaitis on a cabin design and construction business called Cabin Kings. These "Cabin Kings" are construction's odd couple: Paulie is a city boy at heart and Tuffy is a gruff, logical woodsman who has never heard of Starbucks. But together, this duo creates unbelievable wilderness getaways, transforming discarded materials into fabulous contraptions and overcoming outrageous building challenges along the way.

Before its debut, the idea of being watched twenty-four hours a day by a camera was shocking to some in Mexican society. The series was successful, and it was followed by a special edition called Big Brother VIP with Mexican celebrities from show business and even politics. Congressman Jorge Kahwagi, minority whip of the Mexican Green Party in the Chamber of Deputees of Mexico's Congress, shocked and angered many people in Mexico when he asked to be excused from his post in Congress to be sequestered for months inside the Big Brother House. Critics among colleagues and the general public accused him of dereliction of duty, discrediting his office, and seeking personal gain. During the show, late-night variety-show host, comedian, and producer Adal Ramones, also from Televisa, made a send-up of Big Brother which he called "El Gran Carnal" or "Big Bro" in Mexican slang. In December 2009, it was announced that there would be an "Allstars" version of Big Brother Mexico and that if it favors well with ratings, a possible fourth season will likely follow.

2005Big Brother was a reality TV series shown in the Czech Republic, broadcast by TV Nova. It is also known as Velký Bratr. The Czech version is based on the popular Dutch Big Brother international television series produced by Endemol where a number of contestants, live in an isolated house for a certain period of time. At all times, housemates are under the control of Big Brother, a rule-enforcing authority figure who monitors the behaviour of the housemates, sets tasks and punishments, and provides the only link to the outside world for the contestants. The premiere saw thirteen housemates originally enter the house, with four additional people entering at various point during the programme. The show caused controversity when contestant Filip Trojovský was recognized as gay porn star Tommy Hansen. Also a commercial model, Trjovský starred in a TV spot for a German milk-company prior to entering the house. A German tabloid revealed the scandal, causing the spot to be taken off air. When his past became known, Trojovský became the first person to be evicted, and as a result, the ratings quickly fell. He was quickly reinstated as a housemate a few weeks later.
